To mark the International Day of Poetry, the first day of spring, March 21, the Esplanade and Julius Meinl invite you to taste your favourite coffee in the inspiring Esplanade 1925 Lounge & Cocktail bar and instead of paying money – write a verse, and for one day become a poet!
The initiative of Julius Meinl took on global proportions and you too as a poet can take on the world; from Shanghai or Istanbul to London or Chicago. Popular poet and global ambassador for the project is Robert Montgomery who believes poetry has the power to change the world and invites everyone to sharpen their pencils, show what you can do and turn inspiration into a means of payment.
